A modern, epic classic, this takes everything special about the first part and adds a sprinkling of sci-fi spice, Superb performances, incredible cinematography and SFX, an impressive score – Denis Villneuve does a great job, as before, at adapting a complex story and making it an unforgettable cinematic experience. See it on the biggest screen possible – the IMAX at Odeon Norwich is recommended.

Enjoyably silly CGI fun in this latest ‘monsterverse’ blockbuster. Don’t expect much in the way of plot, just plenty of spectacle. The director seems more interested in Kong than Godzilla, with the humans mostly on exposition duty, but the end battle just about delivers the goods. This is as far away from the far superior Godzilla Minus One as you could get though!
